Something like this?If I understand correctly AirTag uses bluetooth technology to locate your items. The alternative would be to use Mobile Data so that you could find your items from further distances than what bluetooth could provide.
This could be costly though. Depends on how much that mobile data would cost per month, shouldn't be much.
But the idea would be to place a small device that has mobile and GPS services built in and you can login through app just as you could with Apple, but you wouldn't be limited on the distance.
I would have to read up on this a bit more.

Ordinarily, I'd say that a massive company like Apple doing a product is a proof of market need, which means there's niches you can get into and exploit as a smaller mover. In this case... Well, there's other ideas out there.
