To my beloved fastlaners...
My first internet business is in the website development stage. Our team of developers are currently working on the logo/business symbol amongst other things.
The business itself will be an online trading community with one key and fundamental difference which sets it apart from the competitors.
Back to the logo. A few months ago I read "Purple Cow," by Seth Godin. In this book he talks about the importance of making your business remarkable. If your business is remarkable, people will make it go viral for you by talking to everybody they know about it.
So, inspired by this book, I am 90% sure of making our business logo a...
PINK PONY :groove:
Its so bizarre that it will stick in peoples heads. You can't escape the pink pony no matter how hard you try! It will stick in your head... similiar to the long.... long.... nude scene in the Borat movie.
Imagine the customers reaction when viewing the PINK PONY for the first time.
Imagine the customers reaction when viewing a traditional logo, lets say a circle with a flashy line and the company name right underneath it.
Which one is more likely to stand out??
The beautiful pink pony does two things in favor of our website.
1) Gives them reason to talk about our website to other people.
2) Makes our website stick out like a sore thumb, definitely something that they will remember.
The traditional logo does nothing in favor of our website, its essentially a space filler.
In that book Seth talks about the importance of making your company remarkable. Well, the Pink Pony is a start.
Is my reasoning on the right track?
Thoughts?

Is my reasoning on the right track?
- Pink Pony = different.
- Different = people notice and remember it
- People noticing and remembering your website = more likely to spread by word of mouth
