I joined this forum back in 2012 after reading TMF and now that we've had our origin story featured in Forbes I figured it was a good time to post an update and give thanks to MJ for the inspiration.

I bet you've had your fair share of ups and downs to contend with.

What are some of your highlights and what would you do differently if you were to start over again?

Wow congrats. Wouldn't have expected an app like that to take off the way it has.

@RazorCut I'd say our main highlight has been moving to a subscription product. We've been able to increase our revenue as a company and reach more dedicated users as subscribers.

One of the major things I would've done differently would be to always market your product. Always try to find relationships that fit your product and service as early as possible. Due to our growth hack through Twitter we had a large growth of organic traffic and to this day organic is a primary driver of downloads and subscriptions, but you can always grow the brand awareness and make the organic bucket larger.

It isn't rocket science.

They moved probability by targeting bonafide problems, and now some people on this forum believe they got lucky.
