Had a constant headache last night from 10PM - 4AM.

I tossed and turned, grabbed my head, applied pressure and found some relief.

Whenever I was close to sleeping, the headache intensified, up until 4 AM.

At 4AM my girlfriend wakes up because of my constant movement and asks if I took something for the pain( painkiller).

At that point I realised sometimes I’m just plain stupid. It never occurred to me to take a painkiller.

Took a paracetamol. Headache gone. Slept within 5 minutes.

Are you on that routine currently? What do you think of it compared to other popular routines? Sounds interesting but I can't justify paying for a workout routine haha. I'm currently doing a 5 day PPL routine. I usually did 3 or 4 days a week in the past, but I'm really loving the higher frequency.

I stopped using that routine because I have different goals now, but friends and I used that routine in the past to add considerable muscle. It works very well.

And the mindset of being unable to pay experts to share their ideas and give you a roadmap of where you want to go will hold you back in everything, not just fitness.

I'm sure that there are plenty of people on this forum who sincerely push themselves hard in their endeavors but don't realize how much they're still leaving on the table.

You need elite people to show you what is possible.

I'm not opposed paying experts to gain valuable info, just mostly hesitant when it comes to lifting. There's a lot of bro-science and frauds selling stuff, which is why I like to get personal opinions from people who tried certain routines if I can.

My best friend is also an obessed personal trainer and I get pretty much everything I need from him. Sounds like you have some good personal experience though, so I might still look into this more when I'm ready for a new routine.

Afterthought... currently adding onto my house which includes more garage space. The rough-in is done. Insulation and drywall are next.

It dawned on me that I did not have car charging stations or power to locations for this. Wow.

The electricians are going to install wire to 2 locations today.

Seems like this should be standard at this stage of the game.

Fortunately, I am upgrading from 200 to 400 amps of service already.

Communities which are more walkable and bikable are far more pleasant to live in and enhance the health of their citizens. Walking and riding bikes means more interactions with your neighbors which is a positive for community building. Most high end neighborhoods, and certainly new ones, know this and design for it.

Creating and using technologies that allow you to work, shop, bank etc from home have tons of advantages. Both immediate and strategic.

I own 4 cars with V8 engines. But I prefer to only use my cars for fun!

I wasn’t on there very long but I got a lot of value from it in the time that I was. I still have a couple threads that people wrote saved in the notes on my phone.

I remember the guy who made the DYE brand made a thread there when he started it and everyone was saying it wouldn’t work and he was stealing the meme. That brands still around now. Not sure if it’s the same guy or brand though.

Yes it is but I was agreeing with his point and adding onto it.

I think the point he is lampooning is a real one that people have and don't realize the direction it goes in: the shrinking of humanity, rather than humanity's growth.

Instead of innovating our way towards progress, some people think the only way to progress is to go 1000 years backwards, back to huts and dirt. Really they don't think about it at all (who would consciously think that? It's not a conscious decision), and just legislate that direction... My contention is that we have needs now that must be met, and technology + entrepreneurs and businesses are the ones that can meet them and are meeting them... and we must not stop that.

That's where the innovation happens!

So recently the government of Canada has legislated any "scary" guns into paperweights because they can. It's been in the courts, and we have this now.

What really pisses me off is that they have the balls to say they will buy your firearms from you "at the government expense". That means at your expense. Reminds me of that time a few months ago when the POTUS sent me a letter about how he is generously writing checks to families, including mine! Boy did I feel important. Never mind it was our money in the first place, and if you're going to send it somewhere you should send it to the seniors who are living on fixed incomes during rampant inflation. But yes, what a generous gesture!

Once you get past "aaaa what do I dooo with this" you realize it's just your code, a few conventions, and no web server to worry about. I wrote an API that gloriously foobarbaz's multiple other APIs, in only 24 hours! (with no sleep... ahem)

Yes, she seemed to be overcompensating and peacocking accolades and credentials - it doesn't surprise me that she scored as the least intelligent. That said, I'm guessing I would have scored the worst of ALL OF THEM as I am a terrible test taker.

The world would be a much nicer place if something easier than English (such as Spanish) would be the international language.

I'm primarily referring to pronunciation which makes zero sense in English and is extremely frustrating to learn. In my native language, everything is spoken the same way it's written. Same in Spanish. In English, everything will have different pronunciation just for the fun of it. To this day I find it incredible that in languages like English once you learn a new word you need to learn how to pronounce it (yes, you can guess the pronunciation but you'll never be sure).

For example:

• pathos
• pathological
• pathetic

All three words start exactly the same way but in all three, the first vowel is different. Add for example the words "python" and "pithy" and you have five different vowels in similar words.

I've been learning the American accent for a couple of years (the last 1.5 years very seriously with a coach 3x a week). After so much time and effort I've only managed to maybe neutralize my accent (my coach says that at this point it would be hard for him to pinpoint where I'm from by my accent alone). But I'm still nowhere near sounding like a native speaker.

I keep repeating this all the time to native English speakers: you have no F*cking clue how blessed you are to speak English as your native language. No. F*cking. Clue.
