TLDR: Don't live each day as if it were your last - live each day as if you'd have to relive your life exactly the same again and again forever.

"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you in your loneliest loneliness and say to you:

'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh and everything unutterably small or great in your life will have to return to you, all in the same succession and sequence - even this spider and this moonlight between the trees, and even this moment and I myself.

The eternal hourglass of existence is turned upside down again and again, and you with it, speck of dust!'

Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced the tremendous moment when you would have answered ‘You are a god and I never had heard anything more divine!’ If this thought took possession of you, it would change you as you are, or perhaps crush you.

The question on each and every thing ‘Do you desire this once more, and innumerable times more?’ would lie upon your actions as the greatest weight. Or how well disposed would you have to become to yourself and to life to crave nothing more fervently than this ultimate confirmation and seal?"

This is true as well.

I do often envy the guys pulling down big dollar amounts with just a dream and a laptop.

Haven't met anyone like that in real life, but very cool and very desirable.

(I have, however, met lots of these old school millionaires, easily verifying how damn rich they are too just by looking at county records)
I know of a guy who owned an $8M castle (literally a castle) on the ocean not far from me.

He produced plastics, resins, etc. with almost 100 employees.

I believe his wife still lives there, but he sadly passed away Christmas of last year. It wasn’t tragic, he was quite elderly. I wish I had got to meet him.

His business, I imagine, was “boring” AF.

His legacy will speak for himself.

From now on I’m making a decision that I will try to stop overcomplicating things by using fancy words.

This is a problem I see a lot of people have, here too.

I’m not embarking my spiritual self on a journey that will help eradicate odours and waste. I’m just taking the f*{£ing trash out. Simple words.

When I ask something, I’d love to get plain answers.

Some people say they are “building digital assets focused on providing value to the customer, myself, and the manufacturer.”

Mate, you’re building a dropshipping store. Stop overcomplicating everything.

If you want to improve your writing, read actually good writers. Bukowski and Nabokov come to mind, but there are hundreds more of them. Academic writing is as exciting as pulling teeth. And it's about as pleasant to go through—avoid it like an MLM marketer.

Self-help books are ok too. Gurus write them for the masses. Most of these books' effectiveness is dubious, but they'll teach you how to write in a clear manner.

Use this website to assess your text's readability: Hemingway Editor

There are plenty of resources online on how to write better. A few are amazing, some are copycats, and the vast majority wouldn't make it to this forum's landfill.

Quick guide to get started writing better and getting used to the process:
  • Break up long sentences into smaller ones.
  • Make your writing rhythmic by mixing your sentences' lengths.
  • Why use big word when small word do trick?
  • Rewrite sentences that sound off before hitting the send button.

I just think they’re less crowded and saturated (sometimes, there’s huge variety here)

For one thing, there are so many old school niches with so much technical info that most people can’t even tell you the industries that are out there.

Think about what @Kak does. How many people under 30 know about the B2B chemical industry and the market it serves?

Most people only know about business as far as what they’ve themselves purchased

I'm over 30 an don't know about B2B Chemical industry lol. One this school fails to do is deliver all the opportunities there are. I use to know a guy that made 6 figures watching TV. He would watch multiple TVs are one the same time to make sure commercials aired on time etc. I remember riding by a plastic surgery place down the shore and seeing a brand new Aston Martin. I thought to myself if someone in school would have told me I got to drive an Aston Martin to play with titties all day I would have paid attention more.

this is one of those "I told you so" moments.

I don't want to always focus on negativity, but truth is, @Kak is right about the world becoming a socialist (and even communist) wasteland.

Still, gotta focus on producing and doing our best anyway... Possibly in a different country... And hit them at the polls, and with protests if need be!!

@thechosen1 Just vote them out.
I know other options suck too. Like NDP here is even worse. Conservatives arent saints either. But pick between them, show up and vote. This is what it means to live in a country where your vote counts. It’s not Russia where your three options are:
1. Putin
2. Mr. Putin
3. Gulag.

the funny thing is, yes Putin is socially very conservative, but governmentally, not at all.

That is, if we define conservative governance based on USA traditional values like freedom and liberty.

In which case, there are very few.

I don't know where to ask this but it's a simple one.

What do you use for a dedicated business phone line? I want a dedicated phone number so I don't have to use my personal phone number. I'm looking for something that is reliable but inexpensive.

I used to use Ooma back in 2017 but they raised their prices quite a bit. I had to buy a separate phone box and a cordless phone to use it. It worked well and I still have the equipment, but they are pricey. I don't even know if they use the boxes anymore - it looks like a flat router and a cordless phone was patched into it.

Some research has led me to using Google Voice.

One thing I'm concerned about is being able to screen spam phone calls on my personal cellphone. I get a lot of them so if I route to my personal cellphone and I don't recognize the number, I'm afraid I probably won't answer -- I also don't want random companies trying to sell me stuff and having it ring on my personal phone all day.

On the other hand, it would be nice to not need a separate box and cordless phone to make phone calls, when/if needed.

Don't let the demoralization plan get to you, colour revolutions take time and there are still moves on the board for most American citizens.

I agree that the demoralization is part of the plan, it's sad to see people concede and decide that it's over and America is doomed.

Curious what moves you'd say are on the board..

Well I just wasted my entire morning on the phone with the lRS.

Worse, the reason I called was not resolved.

I waited on hold numerous times, completely worthless voicemail chains and mazes, and as I finally got through to an agent (who shuttled me to another, and another after that), was disconnected within 3 minutes. Every person I talked to sounded like a soulless zombie with a bag of shit stuffed in their mouth. I'm sure their application for employment states, "Mouth breathers only need apply."

Called back (now the 5th call this morning) and now I get, "sorry call another day".

And these are the people entrusted with managing the country. What a FN joke.

Here I am, turning my brain inside out trying to figure how to take my income to 5 figures a month.

Within the same city as me, some girls take some provocative photos, earning £6 million a month.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I guess the saying : “if you’re not willing to do everything for it, you shouldn’t complain” works well here:rofl:

I know people that capitalized on that by owning studios that dealt with promotion of these girls for a % of their earnings - very lucrative!

But yeah - crazy times ;)

If you get Google Voice, your phone looks different when it rings, so you can tell that it's a Google Voice call.

I have also used Gotoconnect for a business phone, and it's a lot more professional.
