I googled out of curiosity a rough estimate of taxes paid over a lifetime.....

''Assume a single person using standard exemptions and deductions, and earning an average wage. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average income across all occupations in the U.S. is $43,460. Under the circumstances described, this taxpayer would have a tax bill of $4,713 on a 2010 federal tax return.

Project that over the course of a 40-year career, and this taxpayer would be looking at a lifetime tax bill of $188,520. Of course, no one earns the exact same amount over the course of 40 years, but the assumption here is that this taxpayer earns a career average of $43,460, so that lower wages in the early years are balanced out by higher wages in the later years.

Now assume that you are fortunate enough to earn an average of $100,000 (in today's dollars). Using the same background assumptions, this would give you a 2010 tax bill of $19,098. That would create a lifetime tax bill of $763,920, or $1,440,013 when adjusted for inflation.''

1.4M for an upper middle class income? Yikes...... Going to be alot of fun one day writing 6 figure cheques to the CRA (Canadian ''IRS'')

I'm all for freedom of religion and am religious, but never understood why people have to hate other people with different few points. Sunday's were the worst days to wait tables when I was younger. Either people were pissed off that they had to go to work Monday or annoyed that they just got told for an hour how sinful they live M-Sat and going to church once a week won't help.
I might not agree with what you do, but it isn't my business unless you make it - which has been happening lately in politics

This is just funny to me though.

Saw a funny ad........ this guy raised over $5million for one of the dumbest products around...

A fat burning device that 'shocks' your muscles into burning fat.

this thing costs $650!

Apparently the guy has been ripping people off aswell and isn't even delivering the product, geez I think it's time to start running money raising campaigns and sail away on a yacht, I'm still not a millionaire!

Good to look at his marketing campaigns, bad product or not, always things to learn!

Anybody ever read an article that appeared in the journal of political economy called “the wizard of oz as a monetary allegory” by Hugh Rockoff. First appeared in 1990. For those interested in the monetary history of gold, silver and banking.

The wizard of oz was actually an allegory about the free silver and gold standard debate of the 1890s.

The Wizard of Ounces(Oz)?:wideyed:

Fun read.

"Mmmmmkay, thank you for answering all my questions at length. Unfortunately, before I can hire you or even decide whether I hire you, it's important that you come to visit us in-house AGAIN to answer some more questions. By the way, what did we do wrong here? I'm sorry, but we are sooooo poor and do this for passion. You share our passion, don't you?"

Bitch, I'm a CONSULTANT.

AS IN: I GET PAID FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS.

Really, cut clients unwilling to pay for your services early. Especially when they certainly do this for PASSION, but own a lot of land, invest in real estate development, and are multi-millionaires.

Uh oh, sounds like you're letting the patients run the madhouse.

You can make your life way easier if you switch from being perceived as a vendor who's too available and easily replaced to being perceived as a superior.
Try to shift your focus away from answering questions, especially if they haven't payed you yet, but instead ask questions yourself and tell them what to do based on their answers.

Diagnose and prescribe. Give them homework.
They should have to qualify themselves to you, not the other way around.

@Vigilante you wanted me to define bootlicker a while back.

I was coming out of a restaurant last night... I literally stopped my car, got out, and took this picture. Irrespective of their choice in political "God." THIS is a bootlicker.

Do you consider fully automated or self-served?
I don't know if self-served are popular in Germany but
i think there are few in Europe (quick search Car wash systems | DiBO)

Thanks for your thoughts.
I ve done a litte research here. And I would not get a good place centered anyhow. No, I wouldn t get any place here to do that.

The wash stations i your link are common here. The next one is 7 km in one direction and 5 in the other.
I believe here it would pay out. But I now know, why there is no one: You get no place to do i.

The man hasn't made an intelligent or compelling argument in 5 years.

Haha I think I haven’t watched the news in years. Growing up broke I didn’t even have a TV just some old books. Today kids have a special video game chair playing fortnite all day.

But a lot of these network companies, which are private companies, have done nothing but propel themselves as a “critical” part of our democratic process and information economy. Basically through monopoly as fake utility companies over the years. It’s basically just legal censorship and manipulation.

Haha me personally if I wanna know something or form an opinion I just look it up or do some Investigative research. Or rely on axioms I know to be tried and true.

Was doing some research and I remembered this article that came out on bloomberg. Here is a perfect example of this.

The Fed's Cure Risks Being Worse Than the Disease

“In effect, the Fed is giving the Treasury access to its printing press. This means that, in the extreme, the administration would be free to use its control, not the Fed’s control, of these SPVs to instruct the Fed to print more money so it could buy securities and hand out loans in an effort to ramp financial markets higher going into the election. Why stop there? Should Trump win re-election, he could try to use these SPVs to get those 10,000 Dow Jones points he feels the Fed has denied everyone.”

Hold up, stop stop. Nothing to do with politics. It has to do with how our financial system is set up. You mean to tell me that taking the power to issue money from a private central bank to our government is a terrible thing?

Im shocked that they would say this. Here again through the central bank/corporate bank syndicate partnership scam they try to sway public opinion.

I'm batting 1000% on this insight...

I'm flipping through one of those home remodeling magazines that come free in the mail. Inside, there is a full-page ad for an HVAC and Electrician company ... nice and shiny complete with all kinds of promises and sweet nothings.

So I go on the internet and search for the company...

And sure enough, as expected...

They have absolutely BRUTAL reviews. Doesn't matter where, Google, Yelp, everywhere! Overcharging, charging for repairs not needed, the whole gambit.

Once again, if you see a company that advertises HEAVILY, more than likely they are NOT running productocracies. In fact, they are more than likely unscrupulous -- you see, they NEED advertising to survive. New customers never repeat, and old customers need to be replaced.

See a full page ad in a magazine for home repairs? Remodels?

BUYER BEWARE.

If these companies were legit with fair pricing, they'd wouldn't need such ad schemes ... they are running old school boiler rooms, bait-n-switches, and the old capacitor scam. (Oh your AC needs a new capacitor!)

I've been looking for an electrician now for 5 weeks -- few people answer their phone, and the ones that do, want to come out in the middle of September.

This is our "capitalist" option... We are doomed.

Yeah pretty much.

Very little of our modern day American economy is “laissez-faire” capitalism. It basically falls between a triad of monopolistic, commoditized or subsidized markets.

Theres just so many laws and regulations that it literally shapes the market a certain way.

I’m sure this tik tok stuff is based off some national security law hidden in the patriot act.

It’s like look at China. Communist? Yeah. Socialists? Mmm more like monopolistic facism with some power to the people BS sprinkled on top.

So i was watching unrelated video and the ad came up.

The guy in it was talking about making money (actually about losing them) and that 10 years ago people told him to find a real job.

Some more things come in and he says that now everyone ask
him how to start online business.

Being asked to "find a real job" was his ad's hook.

He should have listened.

So i think i should start a two new movements:
No movement movement.
and
No guru guru.

In first it would be movement of not following any movements.Self explanatory.

The second would be 1 min video, telling people that i won't tell them anything on any topic and that they shouldn't listen to anybody on any topic.

If you want to take on those ideas then you're welcomed.

People can say whatever but no one understand his or her own situation best.

I would say listen to all, and make your own decision based on your own circumstances and bear the consequences of your bet (decision).

At 24 years old, the guy became a multi-millionnaire. Fastlane is about becoming rich quick. Isn't it fastlane enough? You are mistaking fastlane with productocracy.

Gymshark is now worth 1.45 billion dollars after a raise of capital.

They sell gym clothes.

Gym. Clothes.

Were they the first ones to do so? No. Did they invent anything? No. They made tiny improvements. And worked their a$$ off for 4-5 years.

1.45 billion. Gym clothes. Damn.

I love it.

Similarly, i wanna start the "think for yourself movement" where i'd tell people not to listen to or believe anyone but to do research themselves first.

I looked at their store, kinda funny actually. It's a fairly average shopify looking store that sells way overpriced stuff lol. Inspiring
