There's really not a right answer here, highly situational.
Two high school sweethearts who both earn $70k/year and have been together for 9 years? Sure, go all in on a joint account. If Bill Belichick marries his 24 year old girlfriend? Hold up, let's put the brakes on here.
A small funded joint account with regular contributions to pay for shared expenses and shared experiences is one thing. It's another if you are considering fully enmeshing your finances.
