This thread moves so quickly so unsure if anyone saw this

When 'science' doesn't work, try bribery. haha

Well. Duh. The ONLY "true" way you become "rich". Is by the lottery. Businesses are evil, scammers, frauds, ponzi schemes, etc.....

You should think about your own death daily. Not only because it's inevitable, but because it helps you recognize what you actually value most in life.

It helps if you pair this with doing something that makes you feel like you're going to die - risking big amounts of money, doing something dangerous like surfing or mountain climbing, or just spending time in a cemetery.

"Pay attention to the disputation written here and inscribe it upon your heart so you may learn some wisdom from studying it, and realize what you are and what you shall become. When you least expect it death comes to conquer you. While your grave is still undug it is good to think on death." -The Black Death

I have 'memento mori' tattooed on my wrist for that very reason. I contemplate life a lot more now that I have children. I give thanks every day I get to spend with them. Works a lot better than a tattoo! :D

When Bill Gates announced his divorce, his actions did no longer match with the nice billionaire narrative the media had created.

So they killed his image and replaced it with another one: Bill Gates, the cold wife-cheater.

The lesson I have learned is that you should always believe the media because only them know what the truth is.

Excuse me, I have a vaccine appointment.

It's paid-for by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Can't read it, it is gated and I'm not paying Bloomberg one red cent.

Technically. Elon Musk is African American.

I feel like they would him slide on a technicality. But... since he is so outspoken.

He would be a: Nazi African American.

Too bad, I was rooting for Ukraine. That song slapped.

Alas, I did not win the contest. I'm not Italy. Unfortunately.

It’s funny how the real thing is so much better and more natural yet the one on the right is marketed as the healthy choice

We'll have to wait for lab grown meat, the one that they grow cell by cell.
Then it will be game over.

I'm pro non-hurting animals but i'm not pro-vegan.
It would be cool to see totally lab grown beef or chicken meat,
because it would tick both advantages - cruelty free and having no artificial
ingredients
- at the same time.

Don't call beyond beef "meat" or that almond / oatmeal / SOY stuff "milk".

Call them "vegetable oil products" and "soy fluids" / "soy puss"

On Twitter you can see a lot of obscure business niches marketing by talking about topics that aren't related to business, but are important to specific audiences.

Example topics: eating meat, lifting weights, insulting nerds, etc.

Look into some of the accounts that follow https://twitter.com/BowTiedBull and you'll see what I mean. It could be a very effective marketing strategy for the right types of businesses.

Ray Peat's articles are interesting and you should read them:

"In this culture, what we desperately need is a recognition of the complexity of life, and of the political-ecological situation we find ourselves in. Any thinking which isn’t “system thinking” should be treated with caution, and most contemporary thinking about health neglects to consider relevant parts of the problem-system. “Official” recommendations about salt, cholesterol, iron, unsaturated and saturated fats, and soybeans have generally been inappropriate, unscientific, and strongly motivated by business interests rather than by biological knowledge."

"Medical editors like to publish articles that reinforce important prejudices, even if, scientifically, they are trash. The momentum of a bad idea can probably be measured by the tons of glossy paper that have gone into its development. Just for the sake of the environment, it would be nice if editors would try to think in terms of evidence and biological mechanisms, rather than stereotypes."

I’m not against any of it.
I totally understand why people become vegan.

I just dislike myths about how “beef is so bad for you!!”

The protein content of lean beef is very high - the vitamin content is too - there are plenty of benefits. That is of course looking at it without the lens of ethics towards the animals.

Personally, I (try to) follow a high protein diet with a wide variety of foods.

Meat, fish, nuts, vegetables, fruits, grains... within my Calorie intake... targeting the right macro level...

It’s already hard enough for me to follow it this way!

I don't know about you but all those crypto/bulls need to go to ophthalmologist.
Their eyes look so red.

I've been in "Money Twitter" for a few years. I'm not a fan of BowTiedBull. Used to be a fan of old-school WSP. WSP was sold to the dorkiest one i'd say. They went from "Frugality is a feminine quality" in 2014 to "Look at my rice and beans" in 2021.

Now all they seem to do is post crypto crap when they preached for years how building businesses has the potential for an exponentially greater return than x coin or stonk.

I love Steak!

It's a fine point to criticize them and their content, but my point on that being an effective way to market stands.
