oh. I'm not sure if you know this already but...

You just go to where you bought you domain name and change your name servers.

there should be atleast two. They would start with a ns1. and then ns2.

After that, wait a couple of min/hr/days according to your ISP and when the refresh everything and your domain name should be hosted by the new host.

You also will have to transfer all your data and databases to the new host as well. I will get more info on this sometime today.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.. I've done it.. 24 hours to wait until it's processed fully.. I wonder if the blog is working now...

I've downloaded files through FTP from old host and now uploaded them to new host. Updated wp-config.php I think everything should work now... but who knows..

Boy do I suck at this... looks like it is not working on the new server...
I have downloaded an xml file fro WP Dashboard if something goes real bad and then I can just import it to new host... I'd just have to install WP again..

Is there such panel as DirectAdmin???

The problem is the new hosting didn't provide me with the address of the new phpmyadmin panel... had to found it myself. Old host provided it at the start.

Ok, looks like I have uploaded the DB successfully...

In the File Manager where I can see all the files uploaded to the host, I click on wp-config.php but it opens an empty page.. That's bad right? There should be something on there..

Yea, that is bad. Did you download the files on the new host to your computer?

Directadmin is like cpanel.

Strangely, the same happens on the old host too. But it was working there...

Yes, I downloaded whole site folder from old blog trough FileZilla and then uploaded it to new host.

Is the blog working for you now? If it is maybe it loads faster???

I am tired... amazed but tired. Hope that I wont forget what I learned today about this moving from host to host. Might be useful in the future... Now still have a few days to write that ebook. Another tough work.. Actually didn't think that writing is that hard... to express yourself as clearly as possible is tough..

What? What kind of host is that?? Get hostgator or something like that.. What are you using..

I probably set something up badly.. I can upload it through FTP but not through WordPress itself.. Maybe I'll fix it tomorrow..

I'm no expert but it sounds like you need to enable some type of permission for a php script. I had to do this on one of my sites, but I really can't remember what I did.

did you find anything? lol

Nope, for now I am finishing the nutrition guide. Now writing it into Word.. it's most important thing right now. And Jesus Christ writing is so hard .. But I'll handle it..

Anyone interested in reading it and giving me testimonial about it? That would be a big favor though...

Yeah I actually had this problem last week. The way I worked around it was to set the writer permissions of the group and public properties to 7, or check mark if your using CuteFTP. Then, when I was done, I changed them back to keep random people from uploading stuff I didn't need. Hope that helps.
