Pointing domain to hosting trouble

I'm having trouble getting my domain to work. It just comes up as "The requested URL could not be retrieved".

The domain was hosted elsewhere before. Now im trying to put it on my deluxe go daddy hosting account.

The hosting account I have has not got a primary website set up yet at the moment? Does this cause any problem?

It had a generic message up, but when I tried to install a wordpress application the same error comes up as the current site I'm trying to get up.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or what I have to do so this site can go up?
