I'm not worried about "luck" or "hard work". Just tell me this; I have twenty bucks … what color Ferrari do I buy when I succeed?

This guy seems down-to-earth. And he overcame some pretty tough odds. I remember his quote on GoT: "A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone". The context here is important

Sidenote: I recently saw him in line at Whole Foods. I always figured seeing a star would be surreal. But I was just like.. oh, there's Tyrion. Moving on.. Haha

<--- Love me some Peter Dinklage, if you couldn't tell. I'd like to see him just in a regular role instead of having to play "the dwarf."

Anyway I definitely agree with him on the luck aspect. I think I see it/think about it more in the athletic realm with people saying the winners are more "talented." Which of course discredits the thousands of hours of work they've put in to get there (endurance sports is my thing, but can apply to most any sport I imagine).

I imagine it's very hard to be < 5' tall and that NOT play a part in the role in some way.

His character in GoT is larger than life. His acting skills in GoT make the other actors look like amateurs. It doesn't matter how tall he is, but his role to play is that of a dwarf in GoT and he does it well.

<----Also a Peter Dinklage fan if you couldn't guess ;)

In X-men ,his height was never mentioned

Oh I know it wasn't. I saw the film and enjoyed it overall, but was meh on the role he was playing. It just didn't feel fleshed out to me. It was definitely a step forward, but my intention was really to say I'd like to see him being the main role in something. Kind of like he was in the Station Agent without the whole "yes, I'm a dwarf" needing to be mentioned.

@Unknown - Yeah he really brings Tyrion to life. I agree he can put some of the other even seasoned actors to shame at times.

For reference and to hopefully keep the thread not totally derailed by me - I have Peter Dinklage as Tyrion as my avatar for really the multi-layer reason of liking him as an actor and liking the unofficial house motto "A Lannister Always Pays his Debts." To me, applied effectively in a positive direction in regards to business, it reminds me to make sure to take care of those who've taken care of me to get me where I'm going. Just my two bits on the phrase really.
