Hello,

each time I write copy for my business I wonder whether I should address my clients personally or formally.
For E-Mails I have found that personal works best ("Hi firstname...") but in sales copy on my website I still struggle with that.

The problem is basically, that I write mostly German copy and there is a big difference between "you" personally and formally (its "du" or "Sie").

So should I keep a consistency in addressing formally, or informally - or both? I am in the service business (B2B) so is it wrong to be personal there?
