Since the carbs that are not allowed by Paleo, are the ones that the above groups that I mentioned need most.

Sure you can start eating a shitload of veggies, but that will just leave you with an incredibly full stomach and less energy. two things you do not want at moments that you need to perform.

Carb/volume ratio of popular paleo foods vs. non-paleo:

Pasta: 55/100
Bread: 48/100

Sweet Potatoes: 20/100
Yams: 30/100
Banana: 23/100

Ok ok ok - Lets put this to bed

Its a lie. All of us on paleo are really just drinking slimfast and coke and posting pictures of steak and eggs on our instagrams.

The truth is that nothing works, lifestyle doesn't matter, and some people just get lucky. The only thing that will work is the next thing.

The standard american diet has obviously been proven as a most superior model. It has a pyramid. A PYRAMID.

Hey @Iwokeup and @csalvato .... I'm right there with you as far as training. I don't follow this diet but I have a damn good one I've put together....it's really not THAT much different than Paleo.

I'm at about 210lbs @ 5'9" and I always struggle with maintaining that weight. I eat rice, pasta (whole-organic), potatoes, and bread(not daily). I'm afraid to give these carbs up for fear of losing energy and weight. :eek:

Suggestions ? Advice ?

Oh and Doc...my 'numbers' are better than they've ever been. :happy:

My suggestion is try it. Measure it and test.

If it doesn't work for you, go back or try something else.

Just like business.

Dude. Your body can generate the energy it needs from fats. If you need quick bursts of energy, try dem sweet potatoes.

And AWESOME on your numbers!
