What i have learned is that you should not waste time, over planning. Plan enough to launch you into a concise work ethic that will see you achieving your goals.

The mistake that we make as young people is that we keep planning our business ideas and never seem to execute them, which in turn kills the soul and Adrenalin spike of creating something.

DREAM BIG AND START SMALL

I'm not much of a planner. I know usually when I make plans there's something that can always come along and ruin them. So, I rather set goals, because regardless if obstacles come along, the goal still remains. I may plan on doing lots of things, but someone else always has another plan. For example: KDP Changes. New plan to reach goal is just keep focused on the goal.

I like this. I'm going to write this down.

I plan every fart...hahah

This may be a Russian thing, or a Real Estate thing, seeing as we play with lots of zeros of other people's money.

What do you think, @jon.a?

I used to be a planner, but my current two successful businesses both started with very little planning. Just kind of jumped in and said, let's do this. Probably a good thing because if I actually planned the TV production business, I'd have figured out it was too expensive and too hard to break in to. Just took the plunge not knowing what I didn't know and now have shows airing in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and the UK.

Cheers,
O-2
