On being happy

Will start with a little business first since this is a productive forum then will talk a little about mindsets and happiness since it is a crucial topic. Please do feel free to share, add, or talk about any interesting topic that comes to mind.

But first;

Have you seen this new commercial?
It raises awareness of march 29 and urges you pleasantly to turn off your lights for an hour.
But it is created by a big company, can you guess where the smarts is in that?

"Well we probably should turn off the lights but what are we going to do?"
"Durex condoms, better go buy some so you don't miss out on getting lucky that night"

It makes an hour shutting off your devices a romantic gesture, and just so happens, to give you the idea to come prepared

Now that is some GOOD and positive end message marketting probably thought up by a wonderkid that joked about how turning off the lights for an hour might help people get laid in this crazy tech obsessed world.

He pitched it, durex loved it, and a honey bunch song later, people get to share in that idea also. How cool.
Just some food for thought, plus, its a sweet little tune, lots of positive things you can take away from it.

Ok, thats enough biz, now onto what I wanted to share with you.

On being happy

Three hurdles:
Early ignorance/high hopes/dashed dreams/swallowing the lump
A personal moment of connection, learning to give and recieve, to stand up for yourself and be positive
Handling that crazy itch inside you that never stops needing to be scratched and you can never seem to reach

These three hurdles are not the end of the world, but they sure as hell feel like it. If you are like me you've been surprised that these things even exist, and were annoyed when the birdy landed on your shoulder and chirped "you may not be exempt". Yes, and then like me you got annoyed, depressed, enraged, loudmouthed, obstinant, beguiling and fell into a trap of scheming.

Mwuhaha! You cackle as you turn the broth of your mighty magic stew "they shall never know! Never ever ever!!! Mwuhaha"

The problem is, if you keep turning that stew, even if you succeed in business you are not going to be really happy. You are going to throw your shoes off at the door, lump onto the bed and cry a little in frustration at "all this cr#p" you have to do.
You know why?
Because you are a human being, and this stuff is hard for all of us, and when you whip up a witchy little stew, you do it alone and without using all your potential and brilliance, because what if the stew fails? Right? And that drains all the life out of you, because you are hiding, and you just are not being YOU.

The real you doesn't kackle, the real you doesn't care about showing off, and the real you really does want the best for people most of the time.

So if I was a dr I would prescibe you a prescription for a little time getting reaquainted with the real you. The generous one, the supportive one, the one who is devilishly cunning and able to go out on the limb, because that is the real you the world could just absolutely eat up.

That is your chicken soup. And unlike the witches stew, the whole world can gobble it up, and you can not care at all because you are just being YOU and you have nothing to hide, no failures to obscure and no people to churn up into broth.

Just let that stuff go. Its not good for you and it messes with the messages of you business too.
If you get obsessed on all that stuff your business will focus on the wrong things and not have the courage to proudly spread its wings and have a good time as it helps serve the world.

Let it go.
I know you want to. And even more than that, you deserve to.


Ok, so I mentioned three hurdles, and basically these three hurdles really do pop up out of nowhere, and YES that SUCKS. And while you are dealing with them, you also have to deal with sucking at business too. But don't worry TOO much as there is an eventual end to that once you gain some passion and drive, and fill it with positivity and a healthy attitude of "sure we can! Lets go try out a few more things too!".

Being happy with business can be tough because, you don't have something (you don't really need it), because you aren't respected (you can earn it), and the task seems insurmountable (there is a cafe half way up the mountain and some cool people around so don't worry too much).

Find the ability to respect yourself, give a little (and then a lot), and get past these hurdles that hound you.
So ok, you are ignorant? Big deal! I was once ignorant to the fact that I would I'd grow up and become one of those weird adult people , you can mature, in fact, it is what people do so long as they don't get upset and storm away from the challenging times.
Ok so you don't know WHY you want to do business? Thats ok, the real reason isn't important anyways, it is important that you do it so you can get distracted along the way by real opportunities and what will become your life. Its just about putting yourself out there so life can find you, and it will, provided you carry enough esteem with you to jump at the right times and say yes to a better way of living.
And ok ok ok, you have an itch you can't scratch, do you know what the best lotion is for it?
No, its not money, its rolling up your sleeves with a smile and eventually finding YOUR talent. Everyone has one. Once you find that talent for business, all the worry will just start drifting away, until poof, its nothing but smoke floating up into the clear blue sky!


Yes the road will be tough, but to become happy about your progress, you need to understand, that you can get past it, you can enjoy yourself as you work, and you don't have to act like a crazy hobo to do it.
You can walk this road with integrity, and once you learn that, it makes you happy as all hell.
