I always knew that the guys at the top, and their circle, were eating well. But I never saw the numbers behind these 6 man teams.
It's super sweet at the top. All that money coming in from all those sources. Wow

It just shows how powerful selling hope and appealing to fears can be.
A lot of scripted society operates on fear.

This is why people buy new stuff and stay in debt.

Fear or missing out, fear of not having the newest item, fear of not being part of the group; just to name a few.

Selling hope & fear is just another sales tactic.

Yep. As an interesting example, MMM was an infamous ponzi scheme in modern Russia: MMM (Ponzi scheme company) - Wikipedia

Even after the government intervened and they were required to print a disclaimer on each share along the lines of "Those shares have no intrinsic value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and grant the owner no rights whatsoever", people still kept buying.

Mavrodi managed to get elected into the Russian parlament (!) granting him temporary immunity. After that he's got his jail term, then went on to found more pyramids, including a bitcoin one in South Africa decades later. He died very recently, though some of the projects still live: MMM Nigeria Bitcoin
