I'm excited to be joining this community of inspiring entrepreneurs! I just finished reading The Millionaire Fastlane and it was very eye-opening ! A little background about myself:
I'm 29 years old and have been a full-time professional mountain biker for the past 10 years. I've always had a business-minded attitude and @MJ DeMarco 's book was enough to jump start my motivation to get rich fast.
Following a major injury (shattered femur) in 2013, I lost most of my endorsements. It took a full year to get back to where I was before; both competitively and financially. During this time I learned the power of my social media following and worked on ways to grow it even more and connect with influencer agencies. Since then I have had large brands reach out to me to collaborate on Instagram. This has been a fantastic passive income source that has driven me to dive even deeper into the possibilities of how to make money online.
As it stands now, I certainly don't make a lot of money, but I live a very wealthy life. I travel the world for free, have friends all over the globe who share my passion, drive a brand new truck I can easily afford, and I'm coming 3 years into a great relationship.
I'm shifting my direction away from being a competitive athlete, to a media-based athlete. I aim to produce fun and exciting content for my fan base and I want to grow my audience as quickly as possible. Between Instagram and Facebook I currently have a fan base of over 115k people.
I want to use this forum as a source of inspiration and ideas, and look forward to learning more about everyone here and sharing my journey with you!
