I'm a middle aged man who is a C-suite exec at a small to medium sized company depending on the metric used to evaluate company size. Trying to find a place for high achieving individuals to discuss things is difficult at best even in the vastness of cyberspace. I'm hoping that in my time here I can learn from some of you and, if I'm lucky, be able to teach others some of the stuff I've picked up along the way. My journey into leadership started when the company I was working for at the time started a voluntary book club based on the LLR series. I figured it would be a good way to suck up to the boss so I decided to participate in it.
While my motivations for doing so weren't pure the club changed my life anyway. Books like The Speed of Trust and The Slight Edge turned the light on in my mind and my "ah ha" moment is still going years later. Every day I learn something new and my life is extremely fulfilling and rewarding. Career wise I have achieved more than I ever thought possible and I am in a position to build the generational wealth I always wished I could. I'm healthier than I've ever been and I achieve the goals physically that few people do but most people wish they could.
Now I spend a good amount of my time really enjoying my life moment by moment and I get substantial benefit from all areas of my life. I no longer live my life afraid of reaching for the things I want. I'm in a really good place, and hopefully this forum is full of people with the same sort of positive attitudes that I have.
