Hi everyone,
I’m a 27-year old Dutchman who lived in Aruba for almost 20 years. I came to the Netherlands to study for a computer engineering degree in Den Bosch, but dropped out just a year before I would attain my degree. I was also working 20 hours a week at the time, so working while following a full-time course no longer seemed suitable for me. Furthermore, during my internship, I realized that the environment I would work in – if I was to become an engineer – would not suit my needs.
Books
I’ve read the following books so far:
Another great book I’ve read, is “What self-made millionaires really think, know and do”. In my opinion, the way the latter book is written, is as if the writers are explaining their perception of the world. It explains the differences between successful and unsuccessful people. What I especially enjoy about it, is that it is written in such a positive manner and backs up the positive claims by describing their experiences. The book also debunks popular myths and misconceptions and is full of useful idea-generating tools and insights.
A little bit about myself
I like to strategize, orchestrate plans and getting things done. I’m not the type of guy to shoot the breeze with. I do like to joke around from time to time though. Furthermore, I would say that I’m good at planning and strategizing. I enjoy playing chess very much and tend to apply many of the concepts I’ve learned to my plans.
Skills/knowledge
Planning and strategizing, network technology and embedded systems, leadership, web-development (I have a plenty of knowledge about this), trading & investing, psychology (mostly persuasion), blockchain technology (recently started learning), UX, dropshipping, architecture, writing (I’m going to write a book after I set up my businesses) and a lot more.
What I’m currently doing
I’m starting a couple of online businesses. I have the skills to develop awesome web-applications using the REACT library for the front-end, express for the back-end and using mongo dB and AWS. I’m almost done with the frontend (~80%). I have a couple of specific questions to ask you guys, but for now, I just like to get to know you a bit better.
My goal is to enrich the lives of others, automate my income as much as possible, and to make friends with like-minded people all over the world. I know I’m on the right track.
