I'm planning on moving out from my parents' house soon.

Context: I just dropped out of uni, my parents support my plans of starting a business & they leave me alone to work in my room.

I close my door and try to get stuff done but I'm always impeded by the thought that they can hear me when I'm working. I'm oversensitive in that way, I guess.

I'm working on a porn website and it's been giving me anxiety and demotivating me from work, because I don't like the thought that while I'm cold contacting and speaking with pornstars about, well, PORN... they might hear my convos(even though they swear they'd never eavesdrop).

Should I just suck it up and keep working or should I move out ASAP?

EDIT 1: I also just don't feel comfortable doing a bunch of cold calls, virtual meetings, etc., in an area where my parents could potentially hear me. It just gives me a ton of anxiety ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I fell you bro. I'd definitly move out.
Keep in mind that you will miss them and you will have less time to work because you will be doing everything on your own, but that is a good thing because you'll learn how to be independent. Also, you will be more comfortable when working which is great.

I kind of feel that way about what I do now.

Except it's not the nature of my industry as it's not adult content.
But I'm currently living with family and when I make calls, whether cold or not, I still like complete privacy.

What I find comfortable is sticking my head out of my window and conversing that way.
Probably only works for calls not videos though.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that feels this way. I feel like complete privacy would 10x my progress.

I'd say stay in your parent's house, put up some sound-proofing, don't gotta be professional but put some blankets up or something on your walls to dampen the noise. It's way cheaper than moving out entirely. This is what I would do because if you live with your parents, you're either living for free or a discounted rent (which I'm doing right now) and you're never going to get that kind of deal again after you move out. Yes it might be uncomfortable and whatnot, and I think you should just keep pushing it and draining it for as long as you can. Spread it thin.

Also free food, don't gotta pay gas or light bills/mortgage, maintenance which means you'll have a little bit more money to invest in yourself and your business.

Tell me one thing, do you consider this work will take you to the next level of your career? (if yes, go for it)
otherwise, you shouldn't waste a single min to leave this as the truth is you also know, one day your parents will get to know about this and that day you couldn't face them anymore.

Porn business aside.
If you have the money, move out.
Thats a no brainer.

Yessir. I'm gonna move out in 3 weeks but while I'm here with my fam, I'll read a bunch of books, do a lot of reflecting and do some character development rather than working directly on my biz(since I find that hard).
