My name is John, I am from Canada and I have been on the forum for some time now.
some of you guys may have seen my Progress thread.
but I feel I need to make a proper introduction.
I have started a few “projects” I guess you could call them, but none of them have been successful.
I’ve had a thing for entrepreneurship since I was young, Id always tell these ideas to my mom and Im finally executing one.
I did drop that entrepreneur thing I had because of my gaming addiction..
I had played videos 5-7 hours on week days and around 10-12 on weekends
My life was sad, I was addicted to sugar and video games as it was my only source of pride I could get.
My family didn’t understand, Id just argue with them like my life was video games.
And then one day I got off, my eyes were turning red, I had a bad headache, my vision was going blurry and I was so tired.
I decided “What the hell am I doing with my life?”
I played countless hours and hours with people I laughed at with school and considered “friends”
From that moment on. I quit all video games, I went from 100-0 within a day.
Turns out all my friends were surprised, some said I lied and was faking.
I quote from one of them.
“Come on man, I get it you don’t want to play video games and you want to do all this weird shit (stuff like working out and reading)
But we really miss you, come on, just play some video games with us.”
So long story short, when I joined this forum, I had argued with all of them.
I don’t talk to them anymore, im attempting to find a new friend group who shares my goals.
Anyways sorry for the long (and delayed) introduction, Im so happy for running into MJs books and this forum. Thank you MJ.
