Hello Fastlaners....
I first want to begin by expressing my gratitude to MJ for his extraordinary book, MFL. I have the audio book and currently I am a little more than halfway though it, and it has already been a blessing in my life.
I feel ashamed to admit, that at 57 I have been living my life straddlingly the line between the sidewalk and slow lane. My father always considered me a dreamer, and I am...but although dreamers are 100% necessary and desired, not all are equipped with the wisdom, faith and discipline to make their dreams a reality. I also consider myself to be entrepreneurial. I know intrinsically that wealth, freedom and security is found in being a business owner and having leverage over time, energy and resources. I tried a few different things over the years, but looking back, I was more acting out that belief and desire, rather than fully committing and taking ownership. Which leads me to this time in my life.
Here I sit, with a new vision and business in the works, but until listening to MJ I lacked the clarity and confidence to FULLY own it. That is changing in a big way. As I get further in the book and understand the concepts and principles of what is being taught, I am gaining more confidence and enthusiasm for my new venture. It is a HUGE vision and that in itself can be overwhelming and crippling. But now I'm more confident in just getting this started modestly, building a solid foundation that will allow me to scale (BIG) over time. And the truth is, I am not doing this for the money. My vision is about truly helping others, here in the United States and across the world.
And now, here I am as part of this amazing forum, getting to know, support and collaborate with like minded people. A true blessing.
MJ - THANK YOU!!! I still have a long way to go, and although starting later in my life, I truly want to become an example for others like me and more so for my son who is currently a sophomore at Texas A&M.
I hope to get to know many of you much better over the months and years to come. We Got This!!!
