( WARNING - this will not be as much of a post, more of a thought spunk across several random paragraphs as thoughts pop into my head. So if you're in a good mood i don't recommend reading!!)
So my current situation is this, signed up for Noah Kagan's HTMYFD course in August last year, done approximately F*ck all with it other than a couple of posts on Facebook and am still getting put in my overdraft when the payments come out, i'm currently working at Virgin Active as a personal trainer for around 15 hours a week paid and 30 unpaid on "commission".
Last year i travelled Thailand, Australia, Cambodia and Laos and worked around four months backpacking and having an amazing year, I have been with my girlfriend for 4 1/2 years and she keeps talking about moving in, i have no funds, and owe her three grand for an investment we made in Oz also.
I found TMF through Pat Flynn's podcast, am halfway through my second read and find it almost in a different reality that people can earn that much.
Good Points - I am a good personal trainer with an excellent relationship with my clients, have been in the industry for over 5 years and have become very good at what i do. I have fought semi professional in MMA and have 8 fights to my name. I have previously wrote for a fitness magazine and live at home with no outgoings other an my phone bill, petrol and living expenses.
Bad Points - I have no income, i haven't ever held a job for more than 18 months, have never earnt more than 2000 pound in a month(from a fluke) and also have quit MMA for the forseeable to allow more time for my business, which has been put outings and sitting watching Dancing on Ice and The Voice. There is no way i will be able to pay for a house deposit, new car, holiday this year. Even go out with my friends on the current path i am on. I am 26 and am constantly questioning whether this is all there is/ will be.
To business adventures, i started learning pick up around 7 years ago and got kinda successful with it, so decided to write an ebook and make my financial freedom this way, had the site up a month and then took it down from making no sales. I have bought another domain, regarding motivation for exercise and havent done anything with it.
So, this book and others like it represent a conundrum for me as i'm equally drawn to them and repulsed by them as something that i Personally can read about but never experience. I have had a chat with one of my PT clients tonight who is a successful businessman in his own right. Having come to the conclusion that spending my evenings getting tipsy in a pub and spunking money i dont have isnt a viable future, I am on here and pouring my truthful thoughts out for a group of people i have never met, but am assuming presumptuously will have some kind of idea what i'm talking about, either from past or present circumstances.
Therefore, i will from now on be updating this forum with my progress/ or lack there of. MY successes and failures no matter how trivial and day by day try and make myself into the man i want to be. I have just scoffed down two sandwiches which i didnt need after smoking a few cigarettes i didnt need also tonight from my lack of self control when it comes to instant gratification.
So tomorrow GMT time will be a new dawn for me. Not entirely sure how i will wake up feeling differently but something's gotta give and i;m tired.
So please berate me, curse me, compliment me, critique me or whatever as we go along on this. I have approximately F*ck all ideas for a business, no discernable skills online other than i can type quite fast.
So will be building from here..... and hi to anyone who hasn't met me yet! I'm Glenn from London and i want to change!
