It is now about time that I actually to get to work on something of Fastlane potential for once and stop jerking my cock off already. My mind wants instant gratification and hates process like F*ck. I need to cut the bullshit and get to work. So what I'm going to do is this: (1) Learn how to code in Kotlin, (2) Learn how the development environment works for making apps in Kotlin, (3) Learn how apps are visually made, (4) Look for apps in the app / google store that I could potentially make a better / different version of, (5) Learn how beta testing works from the developer side of things, (6) Make said app that I've committed myself to make, (7) Learn how publishing an app on the google / play store works (8) Learn the different revenue models that free software use in lieu of making customers pay for the entire app itself. (9) Determine which revenue model may work best for the particular given app, whether it'd be running ads + adding premium content, making customers pay for the app outright, or do a combination of the two or so. I will log my process throughout this journey of mine where it makes sense. Be sure to hold me accountable if I don't post any progress reports within 2 months of this day, 12/5/2021. Cheers!

How do you get ideas, for what one needs an app?

The strategy I'll use here is to not be original, but better or put a spin on what's normally done in certain kinds of apps. If the richest people in the world didn't have to be original to get where they are, then neither do we. Infact, trying to be original would just make things harder than they need to be b/c you'd have to test for product-market fit, so by using the do better or put a spin on what's normally done approach, you would essentially skip through all of that.

I've just noticed that I've been made to read the getting started thread when I logged on to the forum today. I was a little confused at first thinking what could I have possibly done wrong (since the forum has been updated recently)
, so, I tried to see what I could have possibly wrong done to get myself in trouble, and so I read the entire getting started thread post of MJ's, looked at what I have posted recently and realized what I did to be given this warning. I'd like to apologize for my insensitivity with the "stop jerking my cock off" expression. I meant to say that in a metaphorical sense in the way MJ says, "quit jerking off", "mental masturbation", etc (I thought it was ok). I apologize to anyone in advance who got seriously offended by the intensity of how I was trying to express myself with saying that. It's kind of ironic that my username is "Faux Pas" and yet I committed a Faux pas, I know... guess the name suits me very well then lmao. Consider this as my way of mending it (Dreams of absolution cough cough XD). Cheers!
