What are your thoughts on the season thus far?
How impressed are you by Josh Hamilton (If you don't know his story, I'm posting it in another thread as a Success Story.)?

c) Wow! I thought "The Natural" was a fictional movie character...

I mean seriously -- this guy put his body through hell and back. He was an alcoholic and a crack-addict. He basically avoided the game of baseball and lowered it on his list of priorities for a few years. And now he's dominating. There are guys who do EVERYTHING right -- and are even highly talented 1st round picks to boot -- and they can't even make it to the big-leagues, let alone dominate like he has.
It's great to see him succeed as much as he had, though, and he's truly handled himself like a class-act since being promoted last year. I remember seeing something on TV about him or reading a little piece on him before he made his road back to the Majors. This was before a comeback was seen as realistic for his future. He's gone through so much to get to where he's at now, though, that it's awesome to see all the attention he's getting.
Does anyone here think Barry Bonds will play again this year?
Are the TB Rays for real? They've been a great story as well thus far. And you know what they say has been HUGE in their turnaround? Their manager, Joe Maddon, changed their MINDSET. Yes. Their MINDSET. They added a few veterans in the offseason (Percival, Floyd, Hinske), but the reason for their turnaround hasn't been and influx of talent (IMO, at least) -- it's been BELIEF.
Even as a diehard Yankee fan, I find it tough to root against the Rays.
What else is there? The Sabathia trade? Who else do you think will be traded?
