Good morning. Spent last 15 years in healthcare. Chasing money and credentials seemed to be the path towards financial liberation and happiness. Found out that theory was off while taking pandemic travel contracts. Realized that no amount of money coming to me for my time would feel adequate- hard to really do what you want to do and live the way you want when you need cash coming in and the only way to get it is to sacrifice your time. Hit home again when vaccine mandates came about. See a lot of room for improvement in this industry, but the path to be in a position to make changes the traditional way (climbing the ladder via promotions and school) is not efficient. I have been doing the mental masturbation with my good ideas and zero execution for long enough now. The dissonance is building, to fix that I need to start building.
