Hello fellow fast laners!
I'm new to this site and i was recommended by a good friend and a fellow fastlaner to join the community. He believes that given my situation i would find tremendous amounts of help and guidance here which will help me achieve my personal and life goals.
About me
Im a recent college graduate with finance degree and i was employed by one of the worlds top firms in brokerage industry....which didn't turn out well. i got sick and took a chapter quiz for my series 7 licence about a week late which lead to my termination. that was about a month ago. Now ive been applying for jobs and cant seem to find anything that is not strictly commission based. Needless to say i had a great opportunity that i worked my butt off for gone because i screwed up. i kick myself day and night for missing out on an opportunity that could have set my life up. All i had to do from that point was to just keep my head down and work. but i guess that's just how life goes. that's about all going on in my life. i dont have much social life because im really focused on my career and achieving my life and personal goal which ill mention later on in the post.
little about my back ground
i moved to the states when i was 11 and 4 years later my father left me and my family and i became the man of the house. At the age of 15 i started to save up for collage and put myself through collage. at times i was working 3 jobs just to be able to pay for collage, it wasn't easy and sleep was very rare. All my money went into my education. Infact every pay check i only had $50 left to spend on myself. basically, even tho i worked day in and out for 7 days a week i only had $50 for myself. but it was worth it!
My goals
just like everyone else here, i want financial independence. growing up poor and living in poverty has been a part of my life and i want to break away. But i want to earn it! i want a nice things just like everyone else. my current goal is to work towards $40k car, pay off my mortgage by the time i hit 35 (currently 27). im just not sure on where and how to get started. I want to start a youtube channel talking about my progress in life and my goals but who wants to watch that? i also want to start a small business selling cloths online which i would import from over seas but shipment is my main issue which i cant find a way to get around, as well as having a full time job.
Im pretty sure i can do all that because being busy has been apart of my life and hustle is my game. being unemployed for a month is driving me nuts. so to anyone who might be reading this. if you have any suggestions or ideas throw them my way, im open to anything. I thank you for taking your time to read this long post.
