Making AudioBooks

Has anyone here had any success making an audiobook? My audience might enjoy listening to my book on their commute.

This is all new to me... What kind of equipment would I need to pull off a good-quality recording with track-stops, etc.? How about CD printing and packaging? And what's involved in making a file that can be downloaded to a PC or mp3 player?

Seems to me that I could really pull money out of thin air by associating this with a Clickbank account or something similar. Thoughts?
