We've got 50 year mortgages coming and all indications pointing to the government wanting to inflate the currency. I've changed my stance on getting a tech sales job as a result.
I don't see the point in any young guys trying to start a career as a w-2 earner when their pay increases will be far outpaced by inflation. It seems to only make sense now to just start a biz and go all in.
I'm positioning myself for 90% of my money to be in various physical assets and the remaining 10% in cash collecting interest in a savings account.
For those wanting to explore luxury watches, here is a general blueprint of the strategies you can deploy.
1. Quick flips. These are where you buy a watch and sell it quickly within a few days or weeks for 10-20% profit.
2. Market manipulation. This is where you corner a market by buying all of the available models or by coordinating with all of the folks who are currently selling one in order to raise the price substantially. Only works on rare models. Can make 50% or more profit on this method. Same strategy has been deployed on the Murcielago market and other collector cars.
3. Forecasting hype models. This strategy requires more analysis, but it's all simple math at the end of the day. When done correctly you'll be able to predict with precision which models will go up in value and also exit before they fall.
4. Broker deals. This is where you can make a bunch of money with zero of your own dollars. You build relationships with watch wholesalers and then you find clients who want to buy a watch. The buyer gives you $20k for a watch then you go to the wholesaler and buy the watch for $18k. Works extremely well if you live in a wealthy area like Los Angeles, Miami, Bay Area, NYC.
Hold as little cash as possible or you like men.
