So 8 months ago I talked about a new store that I wanted to open. (http://www.thefastlanetomillions.co...net/16776-help-me-come-up-new-store-name.html)
I came up with a domain and loaded a database from another store with real products into the store. I even configured the paypal checkout to work. That's all I did. Then I had other projects so the store just sat there. It's been sitting there, climbing the search engines for some odd reason.
Then one day last month I got an order notification from the store. Weird I thought. Yes, I got a real order from a store that has nothing but product descriptions and prices. The store has no phone number or email. None of the products have any images. Yet someone still ordered.
I found out the reason why. I had an error in pricing that was $20 cheaper than anyone else. My product was listed at $49.99 and everyone else had $67.00. People are obviously very price conscious.
No big idea, I changed the price to $67.00. Problem solved.
Then a week later, another order comes in. This is for a product that is out of stock in the country currently. My non-opened store obviously didn't keep up with the times and still showed it available and someone ordered. My price was also a few bucks cheaper than anyone else.
So far, my non-opened store had 3 orders, all of which I refunded. I had to take down the checkout option so I don't get any more orders.
I just find it amazing that people will actually place an order at a store with 100% broken images. I mean doesn't that look shady?? I have to get my a$$ of the chair and just open it because it looks like it would get sales! Weekend project time!
