Hello fastlaners, I am a young lad in my early twenties who's just about to enter the sphere of financial independence. After reading the book ''The Millionnaire Fastlane" I have to say it is a very good book, well done MJ DeMarco. However I have a question related to the chapter that talks about lifestyle servitude: Is lifestyle servitude really avoidable considering the fact that in my case for example, once I start work/establish a business, I start to have expenses which I never had before and I must continue to maintain them over my life, if there is a way out of that, can somebody please enlighten me

Business expenses are an investment with the ultimate goal to get asymmetric returns: $1 spent, $10 back.

Personal expenses have no return on investment and can force continued work.
