Hi all,
I have decided after plenty of thought to get myself in a position where i can dedicate large chunks of time to my fast lane journey. Creating value is my number 1 priority. I'm still at a stage of trying to decide which route to take as there are so many.
However here is my 'flexible' plan thus far:
* Sell my house and pay the small amount of debt off i have left from my failed construction business.
* Minimize my belongings as i will rent a small place and sell most of my non essential stuff on ebay. (i don't need much to live being a single guy and less clutter will allow more focus).
* Give myself a year to come up with something that will work, all the time learning as much as possible. (Kudos to to MJ who mentioned a site called Udemy that has tons of courses for learning all kinds of stuff. I'm currently following a course on ebay!
)
The above isn't much but it's a start, being 35 now, i don't need or indulge in much leisure time. The only thing i do like to do is go to the gym which is a positive habit. I've always loved to crack into work and have some leisure time every 1-3 months. 6 day work weeks are a norm for me in my construction job and it helps you save a ton!.
Selling my house may sound a little extreme to some but it will take away a mental safety net and if it all goes wrong, oh well i tried. I'll still have my trade to keep food in my belly and a roof over my head.
So now for what have i done....
* Been fixing up my house for sale and it has been on the market for 2 weeks now.
* With the help of my Udemy course, been selling unwanted belongings on ebay. Up to 64 now on seller score.
* I started hitting the gym again about 9 months ago, i can't recommend it enough
For now until the house sells i'm sorting through my stuff 12 years worth! and as my hero big Arnie would say: I'm looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Thanks all!
