Is there any way to track this?

I get a lot of people going to my website and filling out the contact form. When I get the email the form is always blank ( which I assume they just did not fill out anything) but I can never get the email of the address it came from. Is there a way to see who is filling out the forms?

Of course, there are a few different routes you could take. Create a Contact Form that Tracks Keywords using Best Contact Form. has some pretty good tracking metrics, I think they even record information entered into the form but then abandoned.

There are more options out there, but that is the only one I can think of right now. Add required fields as well.

Probably bots, and maybe bots looking for forms to use as spam relays. Use a better contact form that makes name/email (at a minimum) fields required so the form cannot be submitted blank, maybe even implement captcha if the problem persists. This kind of thing, for example: Email Form - Simple Form to Email PHP Contact Form

If you're using wordpress there are a few popular contact form plugins available free as well.
