Hi, there was a boom abt 7-8 years ago, when call centers used to make a lot of money for firms which outsourced some of their work to countries like India, China and Philippines. And, also these countries got a lot of benefits as it generated employment, raised standard of living for those employed in these sectors.

Recently, i was discussing with an entrepreneurial friend about the viability and competition of setting up a call center in India which would focus on getting clients from US for various processes. But, I need some Fastlaner advice on how to get clients and contracts even if I take care of all the setup and infrastructure on my end. I am also thinking of connecting and networking with sm guys who can persuade and get contracts from companies for their non-core functions. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping I get something valuable here.

Cheers.

Niche down. Going for an English speaking call center is the last thing that I would do.

Find a country with a high cost of living and un-common spoken language.

Find individuals in that country that want to live in SE Asia

Setup a call center and provide them with a decent living wage that is substantially below what employees make in their home country.

Contract the call center out to companies within their home market.

Collect checks and enjoy life in the tropics
