Hi everyone, my name is Ben, I am 45 years old, and live in Sweden.
I have read Unscripted a while ago, and just now Great Rat Race Escape . The last one really got to me.
In a way I almost regret reading it. Before I was just unhappy. Now I am unhappy and know exactly why. Once you have seen you can't unsee. The thaught of remaining in the rat race for 20-30 more years is suffocating.
To make a "living" I work maintenance in a manufacturing industry, simply because I always have. I did take a break a while ago and have my own business, dipping my toes in the entrepreneur pool, but of course did it the slowlane way, trading my time for money. And eventually , job proxy took me out of business.
I have finally come up with an idea for a business which is likely viable. My worst fear in life now is to chicken out and slip back into comfort again. That is partly why I joined this forum, like an accountability partner I can't bulls**t with excuses. Mostly though to read about your journeys and how you did it.
Well, that's me. Since english is not my native language there may be some hiccups sometimes. I rely on your patience
