Introduction: Building my personal brand and my fastlane business

great to be here! I found this forum via the Millionaire Fastlane book. I really like the fact that this forum uses a proper forum engine, where you can browse the forum threads, search in the existing content properly etc. Finally it is not a Facebook group or a Slack group. There is no spam and the members here are helping each other, looks like a great place to discuss business and entrepreneurship.

I'm looking forward to learn more, meet new people and help other members.

I'm 35 years old living in Budapest, Hungary (Eastern Europe). My real full name is Bence Ur, so like my username here. My profile photo is a real picture of me. I am not AI-generated!

I studied finance at the university. I had been working in our family business, performing marketing and general management tasks (in the education and hospitality industries).

Currently I run a small, local online travel agency (in Hungarian) as a solopreneur, I created this site from scratch myself. I don't use any paid ads, the traffic is free direct traffic and free, organic Google traffic. I send mainly student groups to accommodations, and these accommodations pay me commission in exchange for the guests.

I also invest in domain names, these are premium, brandable domain names, mostly .com names for startups. I sell these brandable domain names on marketplaces. I have more than 500 domain names for sale. It is a great little business, the only problem is that it is slow to scale, because all the good domains are already taken. So I need to wait for the domains to become available, but then in most of the cases the domain goes to auction and if the price is too high, then it's not feasible to buy that domain. So the problem is that it is relatively slow to build up the domain portfolio.

And now I'm launching a new fastlane business. Here is the idea in a nutshell: I would like to build my personal brand then leverage my personal brand as a launchpad to create and market services and products. I am going to post a new progress thread about my journey, this is just my introduction thread here.

Personal branding is not new of course, but I think it's still an untapped marketing strategy. By "building a personal brand" I mean creating content on a regular basis (written blog posts, videos, podcasts, graphics, short-form and long-form content) then sharing these pieces of content on my own website, on social media and in my newsletter. The idea is to build a loyal audience and to provide value first.
