Goal of exiting the slow lane in 2 years. Like REI
Hi All, I've been lurking on the site for a couple of days and reading everything I can. Lots of great posts - love the success stories. Saw the link in RD forums (possibly from venom - not sure, but I like his posts over there too), and I like the way this website is set up and the philosophies behind (really like that there's no MLM stuff - just not my bag). Not in the fast lane yet, but working on it. Have recently purchased two rental properties 1 house and a tri-plex which both have positive cash flow. Will be looking for a third when we find the right financing and opportunity. Oh had a question on the $1,000,000 net worth - Do I have to convert my Loonies over to US currency? We're at $360,000 (including residence) right now. Both my wife and I work 9-5 and have a plan to get out of the slow lane in less than 2 years (very possibly sooner). Cheers everyone!
