Sophomore in High School, live in Colorado. Bought the book on recommendation from a really cool teacher.
Thought I'd try to add some value, on something interesting I noticed after reading every single gold thread in succession. First off, I realize that there is a astounding amount of things that I have no idea about. I am 15, young and bound to make thousands of mistakes because I have no experience to stop me from doing so. But there are still areas I can give value, so bear with me.
The Common Theme throughout the Gold Threads: Embracing The Grind
Obviously not all the gold threads are stories or motivation. But for the ones that are, I noticed a clear pattern to how they reached their goals, especially since I read them one after another. Obsession. To the point of collapse. Staying up until 4 in the morning, spending every waking minute possible on expanding the business. Disregarding self-care, social life, entertainment, and pretty much everything else beside the business or self-improvement. But they weren't miserable. They had learned to embrace the grind. Love the process. Find happiness in the journey. A lot of different phrases with a personal spin that mean the same exact thing.
Most men stop when they begin to tire, good men go until they think they are going to collapse. But the very best know that the mind tires before the body and push themselves further and further beyond all limits. Only when all these limits are shattered can the unattainable be reached.
PS- I am perfectly content to spend my time working for free at this point. You get free labor that is at least somewhat comparable to a VA. I get experience. Win-win. Let me know if interested
