I've been there more times than I care to talk about. I can also say, though, that the outcome is entirely dependent on your mindset. Which makes it even more hard - if you have a negative mindset, you're already in a bind, and things will get worse. if you have a positive one, though, things like this are a normal part of life, a speed bump. No big deal. On to bigger and better things. It really is your choice, even though, from your perspective, you're more inclined to say 'f___ y__' to someone saying this to you than, 'oh thank you for your encouragement.'

The good new is that the outcome you want is in your head.

No ... go bust a$$ and figure out some quick money so you won't starve. (For this, leave no stone unturned. Physically knock doors asking for work. (I've done this, as an introvert, and landed a $50k job years ago). Tap your network, sell on ebay, sell your services, whatever.) Then, start doing something daily to improve things overall.

(When I say the outcome is entirely dependent on your mindset, that's what I mean. Entirely. Sure, there is random chance that can get you rejected for a particular job. However, over the long run, as long as you are generally a normal human, you can line up random chance events to eventually bend in your favor. But only with the right mindset.)
