Hello everyone,
I hope all is well. I like the new design of the forum!
I am at an intersection with my project and not sure what I should focus on now.
Tl,Dr:
Let's say for the sake of the story that I have an ecom shop where I sell spices (I don't actually sell spices).
1. I could focus on my retail ecom spices shop that already earned me 200 euros with no marketing whatsoever except for SEO.
2. I could become a pink salt wholesaler because there are hardly any as this has not yet gone mainstream and the producers outside Europe sell giant MOQ that I am gonna have to buy anyway for the retail shop.
3. Among the pink salt my supplier sells is this one great product that I think could be an "easy" standalone retail product enabling me to make money much quicker than with the first two options.
I am not sure which one of those options I should choose.
The long version: In February I started working on my spices ecom shop. I built the website, wrote a bunch of articles, and in the midst of it all, someone bought without the website being even ready as I proudly announced here, which validated the idea.
With time, I realized that one of the products, let's say pink salt, is slowly growing and will be mainstream in 2-3 years. There are hardly any pink salt wholesalers and the only one that I have right now does not do white label - you have to sell their brand. I managed to reach out to a pink salt producer in Pakistan who sells me great pink salt at a great price.
If I want to sell good pink salt on my shop, I need to buy from this guy, but his MOQ is 100 kg.
I could buy 100kg of pink salt, but then cannot remain a pink salt retailer and must become a wholesaler as well.
So that's what I did. I built the website moonnfiiiisellspinksalt.org (not a real website, remember, I don't sell spices) and already shot my place to the top 10 result because you hardly have any companies doing that as the product is not well known.
Today, I received the pink salt samples my supplier sent me and these are great, one of them, particularly, could be a standalone product. I could design a nice package, build a landing page with unbounce, drive traffic to this landing page and (probably) be able to make money relatively quickly.
So there I am, with three roads ahead, and not knowing which one to choose.
1. Focus on spices retail ecom shop.
2. Do the pink salt wholesale project.
3. Sell the standalone pink salt product through a landing page.
Thanks!
