Yet another post by me wahoo!

Anyway guys, Continuing with my new venture I'm stuck with names and would much appreciate help from you guys. We all know branding is an important thing so I need that perfect name. Without going into much detail about the business we match event organisers to event space.

The first name I come up with was eventspace. Makes sense huh? Sadly .com/.co.uk domains are taken. Which was a sad downturn and by the looks of the .com it was already a company. (Need to look into that more)

My girlfriend came up with 'Evently' but thats used by a platform in London.

Fire away guys! Also any advice is appreciated too!

Thank you in advance.

There's a chapter in a marketing book I'm reading right now that nails the psychology behind a good brand and company name.

If you have a few days to wait for the book to be shipped to you, pick it up and skip to chapters 12-15. It will be worth your time and the $20 or so that the book costs. You might even be able to buy the eBook

Great names guys thanks again! Few on there that I think are useful. @Mcoyh I'll have a look at that book seems like it could be some use.

Come up with the name 'Venuly' It's a play on the word Venue. Feedback appreciated if you can. Think it's something that could brand well? Or shall I go back to drawing board.

If it's your company name, ok. If it's your website name, there are concerns.

- Many people do not know the word "venue."

- The name as written -'Venuly'- does not spell the word correctly for those few people who do know the word. If you purchase 'venuly,' also buy 'venuely' and forward it to your site.

A name this brandable could require lots of effort to get it to be front-of-mind for prospective customers.

we match event organisers to event space.
Just to make sure I understand your business, you basically find events for event organizers to organize?

Names:
EventZoom
EventZone
EventExpress
EventsDirect
EventLink
EventConnect
EventFuse
EventFusion
SecureEvent
EventBond
EventMerge
EventTrade

Hope some of these at least spark some ideas for you. Good luck!

I like EventConnect. Too bad it's taken. And so is VenueConnect.com. VenuConnect.com is available though.

Thoughts on 'Venque' ? Test your ideas with Venue :)

:(

Think about including benefits for the customer, a name that refers to solving their pain.

There's a reason so many companies have names like EventSolutions .

@Mrs. BRKb has a point :tiphat:

A couple more names:
- VenueFix (as in... you're "fixing" their problem of finding a venue)
- VenueFormula (as in... You have the "formula" of finding great venues for your clients)
- VenueAid/VenueAide (as in...You "Aid" them in finding a venue OR you are their "Aide" in finding a venue.)

By the way, all 4 of these exact match domains are available! Go go go! :woot:

Heres a list of what I've got. I have stumble across more websites like what I'm doing but they are so bad I don't even class them as competitors at this moment.

Myvenue (is taken but really would like to play around with this)
venuefriend
venuebuddy
venuematch
quickvenue

Have you made your first dollar from this business yet?
There's a sunken cost fallacy that keeps us from picking something that's just "good enough for now" but remember that you can always rebrand and change names later. This brainpower could go towards making those cold calls to get your first customer.

Since you want the perfect name I suggest:
"EventPerfect" or "PerfectEvent" until you've make your first dollar.
Start rebranding after that.

I like this but it fails the vocal test pretty bad ... if you said "Venuly" over the phone the likelihood of a user knowing how to visualize and spell it, is slim and none. When picking a domain, I think the "vocal subway test" is one of the most important tests in which few people pay attention too ...

Vocalize your domain. Picture yourself saying it on the PHONE. Picture yourself on the subway and saying it to someone you just met. If that person goes home and tries to recite the name, what's the likelihood they will be able to spell it in from memory? If it's unlikely, you should keep looking.

Made more than first dollar bud. Thanks for asking though!

You are too full of advice. Amazing. Thank you.
