Lately, I've been working on an idea for web development, and I just want some feedback. It is, more or less, an automated website designer. You enter your parameters for your website (background decor, text, images, storefront for other businesses, any sort of interactive parameters, etc.) on a regular html form and the developer does the rest. The system will be based on regular html, javascript, and maybe one other programming language (MySQL?). It is at a rather broad scope right now and I still have to fine tune it a bit, but that's the overall idea. My concern is whether or not this smacks on systems such as wordpress and joomla and, due to these systems, if my idea is too arbitrary to be successful. I know MJ wrote against putting more importance on ideas than on the actual execution; however, I fail to see how one can continue very far into the execution without at least a vague idea as to what to create. Any thoughts? Thanks.
