Hey guys, I'm a chemical engineer from Atlanta, GA (Go yellow jackets!). I graduated last May and read The Millionaire Fastlane around November. Prior to reading TMF I implemented some fastlane principles, such as living for free(I bought a duplex in August). Since reading it, I've been moving very slowly towards entrepreneurship. I started a business with the intent of streaming video online, took my money out of my Roth IRA, sold my gold, and have contemplated quitting the time and energy-suck I call a 9-5 (Technically an 8-5:30 most days, still not bad for a "well-paying" job.)

I've been moving way too slow due to time, motivation, and a girlfriend, but it has been an adjustment period weaning myself off video games and late-night youtube binges. I'm also not willing to jump in the deep end with no savings to live on temporarily. I've been attracted lately to e-commerce because it seems the barrier to entry is more in terms of starting capital and value-added ideas rather than strictly investing massive loads of time.

Ultimately I'd still like to transition towards executing a completely new service, but I don't feel comfortable making the leap until I have enough money to live on for ~2 years, or an extremely passive income (e.g. from ecommerce) that earns enough to live on. Either way, I should be leaving the new job in a few months, say July or so. Cheers!
