I am a former pilot working in a small air taxi here in Brazil.
II only work when:
* I am flying obviously
* If I am not flying I have to be at the company Mon - Fri from 9am-11am

I am planning to escape the slowlane, currently thinking about:
- Build apps for android (learning java for the past month)
- Just pick something and sell it (to learn how to sell)
- Help my father in the family business (that sells a commodity product)
- SaaS idea in the aviation that does not scale very well (maybe 10k/month in 2 years)

I need some advice how to choose a path and keep going in the same path.
I always keep jumping to the greener side, and I think its slowing me down, if anyone went through these thoughts and discovered some way to keep on one side please advise me.

Definitely read the Millionaire Fastlane .

One of the concepts the book discusses that will help you is:
Figure out what skills and abilities you have and then figure out how to use them in a way that would bring the most value to the most people's lives.

Read the book.

Your dad owns a commodity selling business...

How about combine what you want to do into 1 thing?

Make believe you own your own commodity selling business, start a site selling that product. And then, add an eccomerce aspect of it.

This way- you dev, you sell, run a eccomerce site, and sell... And sell...

Dont have it relate to your dads business, just use the same commodity, so you can use your dads company to start your own firm. Thing broader in terms.

I would have loved for my father to be in commodities. Nope, he just develops apartment complexes and buildings and sells them.

I've been in the trenches, literally, digging holes and foundations, to finish the roof on the house. A business I will stay away from.

I've read the book, but I think I need to read it again, thanks guys.
For now I'm going to stick with the internet business/services, it's the place that I think I can bring the most value.
