Take it slow. For the past year, I made it my only goal to sit down with 3 business owners a week. That network now drives a meaningful chunk of my revenue.
Don't focus on money. Charge less if it gets you access to better problems, better clients, or better experience. The learning compounds. Money will come.
Focus on the type of work you do. Don't just do the same thing again and again. There's a real chance you'll turn into a commodity. Aim to solve harder problems that require more expertise or leverage.
Focus on being commercially viable. It's easy to get distracted by things that don't matter. If someone is paying you, there's a reason. Find out what that reason is.
Do it the hard way. Do you make websites? Maybe try hand coding it instead of using WordPress. Perhaps you'll enjoy it and gain new expertise that will help you going forward. Do you create logos? Try drawing them by hand instead of using Inkscape.
Do not worry about scaling (at the start). If you lack depth, then you can only scale a mediocre service. That path is very unfulfilling. Build up your expertise first. Work in the trenches for a bit and learn how to think outside the box.
Build leverage. Develop style. Eventually, you'll develop a style. That style will allow you to create amazing products and experiences that could only originate from you.
Do not seek others approval. Learn to make your own choices. Do things in a different way. Do it because you think that's how it should be done.
