I want to build a community like this forum, just for another topic. What are the best ways to do it? I understand the concept in theory and studied how similar sites get their traffic: mostly through direct and search traffic. So SEO and user retention will be a cornerstones of my strategy. Is there any other advice from more experienced fastlaners? :)

I'd imagine you'd try to organize a group elsewhere (FB, Discord, Reddit) and then try to get that group to follow you. That's how this place kickstarted.

Hey @MJ DeMarco

I'm building a community that I have an existing network and background in. It's a review-site for a specific niche that my community feels we need. We launched 4 days ago.

I promoted on FB and used a JotForm to collect review content prior to launch - which worked decently.

I expected review content to flood in once the site was live, but has you can imagine, growth has ben very slow. To the point where I have to find a way to make some money to pay my bills because this is gonna be a slow process.

How did you gauge your success building TFLF?
