How do you get users to a site that needs users?

Plain and simple. How do you get users to a new site that has no users? It needs users for other users to want to be apart of it. Let's just say for example purposes. I am building Facebook.... I need users to sign up before others will sign up and use it. Now I read about how facebook got their users already so my site is going to be a bit different from that and getting users will be more difficult.

I need users to make posts so others will view the posts and make posts as well.

But how do you get that first user to make posts?

I am posting things left and right and I get traffic to the site. I have funnels set up and goals setup using google analytics. It seems people are going through the posts but just will not make a post of their own.
