So how do you guys gather relevant and effective research on a brand new topic you know nothing about? Do you have any tactics? How do you figure and filter out what information is highly relevant without wasting time on what might be irrelevant points. Also, how do you find the "I don't know what I don't know" that will be beneficial to your research that you never knew about otherwise.
I am basing my question off of me researching high end boats and yachts. It is a topic I'd like to get to know more about and I don't know what research is relevant and what is dismissible. Aside from my general interest in seeing these beautiful toys, I'd also like to "know what I am talking about" when the topic arrises. There is so much information out there I could learn, but it seems to be mostly filler garbage. I'm sure there's info out there that can be very relevant but have no clue of its existence and would not even know where to start to find an unknown gem, the idk what idk. I'm focusing my factor on time as I will be doing more research on many other topics as well.
Thanks!
