Hi all,
I am a competitive bodybuilder seeking to build an online fitness coaching business.
I was previously on this forum and created this disaster of a thread: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/how-do-i-not-scale-my-personal-training-business-significantly.99101/
Since then, I admittedly have not made a great deal of financial progress. I occasionally get a client, but haven't had more than one client at a time.
Where I have made progress, is that I'm finally putting myself "out there" online.
Here is my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johnevereth/
I additionally have these socials:
Twitter: https://x.com/johnevereth
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@johnevereth
TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@johnevereth
The goal here for me is to use these socials as a means of marketing my online fitness coaching.
Here is a list of a few "value skews" I think I should work towards having:
- Being an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder
- Having even greater muscularity
- Larger online following everywhere
- Actually completing and filling-out my "highlights" section on Instagram
- More social media videos, particularly on Youtube (I think longer-form builds a lot of trust)
- Transformation photos of previous clients (never had anyone on longer than 3 months, so don't have any dramatic transformations to show)
Then lastly, what I'm currently doing is posting myself working out or my progress as a bodybuilder to Instagram every single day. I was posting/replying on Twitter every day too but have briefly stopped that. I also occasionally crosspost the higher-effort reels I've made for Instagram onto TikTok and Youtube shorts.
So a schedule like this:
Instagram - 1 post a day (1 of which is a higher-effort educational reel each week)
Twitter - 1 Tweet a day (+5 replies a day)
Youtube - 1 crosspost of Instagram reel a week
TikTok - 1 crosspost of Instagram reel a week
I'm open to any advice on how I could execute this better, why the current strategy I have isn't enough, and what you think currently discourages potential customers from signing-up.
