How do I go about buying a transferrable freelancer profile with great reputation

Anything considered a "hustle" and not necessarily a CENTS-based Fastlane

If, for instance, a freelancer that is doing something easily reproducible by another person, like writing articles or translations, is already tired of doing that and would be interested in selling their profile (one with hundreds of completed orders and great reputation that ideally pulls new orders organically), what is a freelance website whose functionality would allow for that - for instance, a freelance website where the payment method can be changed from this paypal/bank account to mine (the buyer) without making their staff suspicious or lead to closing the account?

IMHO - don't do this.

Many entrepreneurs like the ones that use this forum rely on those reviews and reputation to make decisions about which freelancers we want to work with.

We expect to be working with the individual who matches the review.

This isn't like selling a business where the end product stays the same or getting a few early reviews for a product you are launching - this is full-on trying to masquerade as another person fraudulently to game customer trust.

It's not your work, it's not your experience, it's not your style - it's not you.

If you are good enough to live up to the reviews you are trying to buy - just start from scratch and you'll have tons of reviews in no time.

I know about MJ's teachings on not taking shortcuts and I respect and I agree with the notion,
however I don't look at this as taking a shortcut for three reasons:
1. I am working hard to pay for the potential purchase, and I am willing to pay fair price
2. If the gig pays $5 and I pay $1000 for the account, I will have to deliver 200 gigs just to break even - this will make me VERY motivated to find someone at least equally as good in order to sustain the reputation going forward
3. I will bring value by keeping a well reputed account in business for clients to trust, and I will also bring another person who is talented, but hadnt thought of pushing and selling online, more work

Unethical answer: Make a freelancer profile and then hire yourself via proxy accounts, building reputation. That won't give you any cashflow, but reputation to start with.

Direct answer: You can't buy a freelancer's profile. Freelancers are people.

What you can buy instead are businesses - since they're not people and transferrable. There's many sites that sell online and offline businesses. Research them. See what can be a good fit and if you could afford acquiring one.

So you are having trouble finding a website that lists businesses providing services......

And you want to buy a ready made profile.....

Next you'll want someone to do the work for you?

Then need a step by step to do all of it?
---------
Challenge: stick with this site for a year and come back to this post and update your thoughts.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of work for you to do. Many bread crumbs to follow. Post an introduction if you haven't already.

Then ditch the shortcut mentality and get to work providing value to others.

Good luck!
